The myths about ghosts
During our five years of investigating, we have found that not all ghosts are the same and from what we have researched over our lives, not all ghosts act the same. But the one thing we have noticed is a lot of people place all sorts of factors to ghosts… which in some ways become myths, there are investigators out there that like to scare the shit out of venerable people with frighten facts about spirit activity… when we all know most are not of the frightening kind, nor do they allways attack people, we don’t like the scare tactic and we think is very un-professional to do this. We hope this small list helps people become more understanding towards the departed?
Around 95% of ghosts are curious about us as we are of them; this is why most hauntings start small (though depending on circumstances).
Ghosts will appear to those they feel comfortable with.
The spirit world and the living have one common connection, respect goes a long way.
Not every spirit is an entity, this is a common mistake most will make…. Beside entity case are a rare phenomena and they do not happen every hour every day as some investigators would have you believe.
Ghost like to watch from doorways, from around corners, places we would ourselves if observing.
Hauntings can be large to very small; some hauntings can happen without anyone actually witness them, or even know they are happening.
Some people have had encounters that they would be unaware of, others go unnoticed.
Some homes that become active, this has something to do with the land the home is built on.
Women and children are more receptive to ghosts.
For a spirit to make noises or manifest takes an extreme amount of energy, this is why electrical or battery operated devices can play up, why batteries loss power quickly, even we can be drained of energy from spirits.
Any location can or will have a ghost.
Not all ghosts are of the human kind, there are tons of stories of animal spirits coming back, ghost vehicles or transport that have been witnessed.
80% of investigations end with no evidence, remember not all investigations will be successful.
Those who provoke spirits will encounter something they wish they never, never be confrontational or aggressive, this will make for a bad investigation and it can be very unsafe for all involved.
Ghosts love to be included, because they are listening to what you are saying.
Not every spirit is an entity; there are three types of ghosts… 1 spirit, 2 poltergeists, 3 entities….. It’s insulting to class normal spirits as entities.
Ghosts will roam anywhere, historical buildings to ocean floors.
There is a myth that ghosts can not cross water, some spirits have crossed vast oceans to continue their hauntings.
