1948, (Berriedale)
Two people saw
a bright object in the sky, which it moved west.
1954, 31st of May (Elizabeth Town)
Two People
witnessed a Black object leaving a white vapor trail as it headed towards the
sky.
1959, 8th of January (Risdon)
Two People
witnessed a long object as well as three other smaller objects in the night
sky.
1962, (Broadmarsh)
A six-meter
object landed in a paddock, which caused burn marks on the ground.
1963, (Levendale)
A farmer saw a
yellow round object, very small in size pass over him and disappear in the
west.
1965, (Granton)
Object
witnessed rising from the ground and disappearing into the night sky.
1966, 14th of February (Woodbridge)
An orange
object was witnessed hovering over water, where it moved towards Bruny Island
and vanishing in the darken sky.
1966, July
(Moltema)
Two people
were followed by a round red light for a kilometer before turning and moved
north.
1967, 29th of August (The Gardens)
Seven hunters
witnessed (six) round saucer shaped objects with bright luminous lights under
neath the object; they moved to the east and disappeared.
1969, (Smithton)
A bright light
hovering about 30 meters above the ground started to follow a lone driver, the
object made no sound, it followed for five kilometers before turning north over
the ocean.
1969, 7th of May (Kelvedon)
Witnessed by
two young lads, a red glowing object lifting off the ground and moving towards
the Freycinet Peninsula.
1969, 23rd of May (MT Lloyd)
A group
witnessed a red object in the sky (the size of a basketball) it moved down over
a paddock, before heading upwards a great speed.
1970 (Midlands)
A group
traveling home along the Highway, there was no traffic (which was strange as
it’s Tassie’s busiest highway) suddenly from behind a bright light it came
closer, where they saw a saucer shaped U.F.O.’s. It followed for a while, when
another car coming the opposite way came over the rise in road the saucer flew
off over the paddocks towards the highlands.
1970 (Scottsdale)
A forest
worker on his way home saw a bright flash in the sky, the his radio started to
produce static, he noticed behind him was a green object about 200 meters way
from him, it flew into the bush where he lost sight of it.
1971, 23rd of May (Cethana)
A driver was
followed by a red light; it stayed about 50 meters from him on the driver’s
side, it moved in front of car disappearing into the bush.
1971, 19th of June (Chigwell)
Person
witnessed a bell shaped U.F.O.’s. Which left a rainbow vapor trail.
1971, 14th of December (New Norfolk)
A large group
of people witnessed an object with orange dome top and white lights on the rim
of object, it hummed as it went over the hills, once out of sight a loud
explosion followed.
1972, 26th of July (Queenstown)
Work men
chased a object that resembled an up side down parachute, it floated down from
the sky and moved rapidly into the hills.
1972, Nov
(Campania)
Two people saw
a rectangle shaped object with six lights on the sides, the object faded away.
1973, 31st of January (George Town)
A lady saw a
orange object moving soundless from the north then it moved over the horizon.
1973, August
(Hagley)
A round yellow
soundless light was witnessed pacing a car from 180 meters in the sky, it then moved
upwards of a 45-degree angle and moved away a great speed.
1973, December
(Gladstone)
Driver saw a
yellow light in a paddock, it rose to 3 meters above ground and moved off at
fast speed, when the driver saw it again only seconds later it was way 0off in
the distance.
1974, 27th of February (Latrobe)
Two people
were driving when they saw a orange light in the sky, it was triangle in shape
with rounded corners.
1974, 25th of May?
Three people
watched an object that looked like a banana, it had a yellow top and orange
bottom, it was 30 meters long.
1974, 18th of September (Marshes)
Driving home
along a back road, a driver noticed he was being followed by a yellow light,
that looked banana shaped, it made no sound, it fled off, when the man got home
he saw the object again, it was 150 meters in the east, after five minutes it
vanished.
The most puzzling U.F.O. case that involved
Tasmania. Was 1978 when Frederick Valentich disappeared across the Bass
Straight, Frederick was flying in a small 4 seater plane by himself (from
Melbourne to Flinders Island) he made a number of radioed reports of a shiny
object keeping pace with the plane, after his first call to 10 minutes later
Frederick had vanished.
