Franklin House

              Franklin House

This page is dedicated to Franklin house…. Once part of “The Franklin village” the only reminders to the village are the house and cemetery across the road. This two-story house is prime example of Old Van Diemen’s Land beautiful past, this is the first house brought by “The National Trust” who restored it back to it (almost) original beauty. Team Strigoi had the pleasure to walk around this place with the company of the friendly staff that work there, we were told tons of interesting historical facts about the place and was guided around by our friendly host (Hilary), what amazed us about the place is the quality of workmanship that had gone into restoring this wonderful building. Each room had a interesting tale to tell, each room kept immaculate, our guide told tales with great passion and when it came to our favourite subject… we were told not only about one ghost buy two, certain folks have mentioned the stairs as if they feel a presence, there’s a question mark that lays over the ghosts…. The staff doesn’t disbelieve or believe, they just need proof of their existence…. But in saying that…. some staff have had strange incidents that cannot be explained.
