Welcome to the Entally house investigation page. This investigation took place on the evening of the 28th of july and early morning of the 29th.. These pictures taken upstairs in the childrens bedroom area, this bright anomaly appeared after I accidently took a photo without the flash, the next is taken seconds later with the flash on and the anomalie seems to still be there. Many people have felt an opressive feeling in this area.

We arrived at Entally Estate around 6.20pm, with forty minutes to wait until we were let in; we just hung around the main gate. To pass time we took out the video camera and just started filming around the area, nothing happened that we heard of except for the wildlife moving about in the darkness.
Sue came and let us in; we drove up to the building as we arrived the excitement was building. We were told of some sombre news of the house cat “Tally” who passed away a few days earlier.
We spent about half an hour unpacking the equipment and chatting with our lovely hosts about the estate and hauntings, and then it came time for our hosts to go and leave us inside to conduct our investigations.
We took out the still camera and a video camera while we walked about; this was a great chance to see how what noises the house makes. We started our intro piece to the estate about the ghosts and some historical information, we walked around for an hour before starting up the webcam (which had a motion senorsed camera included) we had never used a motion senorsed camera so we thought we’d give it a go. During this piece Mike went for a walk into the west wing of the house, while I went upstairs to the children’s rooms. Mike said that he felt a very cold breeze between the two joining hallways…. Around nine thirty, we had a quick snack before we turned the lights out.
9.30 we turned the house into complete darkness, then we started to wander about, we headed up to the main bedroom… which had a coldness that stayed all night, we were discussing the stories about Entally house, when out of the darkness a high pitched screech…. It made us both jump about until we found what the source was, a tape recorder coming to the end of the tape; we had a chuckle about the incident, but continued on with the wander about.
We went out side to the church and stables to see what activity was going on…. It remained very silent while we were there, so we headed back to the house…. 10.30pm came and we had nearly 3 hours worth of footage, then my cameras (video) started playing up, nothing would record, tapes kept on being ejected from device…. It became a little frustrating as I thought I would have no equipment to use, it ended up being a tape that was causing the problems…. A new tape put in and every thing started working again…. Crappy tapes.
Mike started to conduct some m.v.p. work as I film the procedure going on. There was one point that we both heard what sounded like a woman’s voice yelling out, but we were unsure in where it came from or if it was ghostly… it could have been a floor board squeaking for all we know.
12.00am and Mike loaded up the web cam for our viewers, the lightening was dark as the torch was not bright enough to show all areas, better torch next time.
We went back to the children’s room (the oppressive room in the house) a room where visitors and staff have had strange encounters there and it has made a few leave the room as they feel uncomfortable.
The rooms were cold as the heat from 1st floor didn’t reach up there, we both spent time taking photos, videoing and m.v.p., mike captured a whitish object over the rocking horse, though this is with out flash and the room was in complete darkness.
We chattered about the house and how excited we are about being there and hopeful of future returns. Mike also took another photo over the rocking horse, and the whitish image has moved down to where the stirrups are… it looks like a leg.
We set up some locked off cameras… one in the west wing hallway and the other in the bedroom of the children. During this time we roamed around with a camera which we spent over 2 hours walking inside and around the house. We spent over 20 minutes in the church and 10 minutes in the stables…. All was silent. We continued to make contact through m.v.p. well we hope we did, we did this to around 3.00am, in which we spent time alone… mike spent time working on web cam and I spent time in the main bedroom. We continued until 4.00am where we had a break and a cup of tea. We then went around finishing dialogue pieces and capturing cutaway shots for our dialogue pieces.
The last 3 hours of the night was going back over rooms and areas in hoping contact with the departed. The sun started to rise around 6.30am and tiredness was setting in, we started packing up around 7.00am and by 20 past 7, sue came to relieve us.
We left the estate around 7.30am and sat around talking about the night… without a doubt it was the most enjoyable investigation we have conducted.
Personal Thoughts
We have (Especially me) wanted to investigate this beautiful old colonial estate for a number of years, we really are unsure into how active this place could be or is… with plenty of stories and encounters for us to enjoy we were ecstatic when given the chance to capture images to go with the stories and sightings. This is a wonderful place to hone in ones skills in investigating; this is one of Tasmania’s most beautiful homes, untouched by modern hands. Tourists and staff encounters may be residual in nature. I have found a newer respect for this old Van Diemen’s Land home and we look forward to sitting down and conversing with the staff and owners. I implore all who have never been here to visit. There is plenty of items for any generation to amerce in and it gives a detailed look in how things worked back then.
The staff is only to happy to talk about ghosts of Entally and the history of this icon of Tasmanian heritage.

Puss Puss
This was one of the sounds we did hear on camera and in person, it sounds a lot like some one saying Puss Puss. We tried to very hard to recreate it naturaly but we couldn't replicate it.
